China Treasures
My husband and I lived in Shanghai, China for four years. For more than two years, I sold pearls for a pearl farmer. I then learned how to string and knot pearls, and began making my own necklaces and bracelets. During this time, I was able to buy jade, lapis, coral, crystal and other beads to include in my designs.
We returned to the States in 2000. I then registered my business, China Treasures, and began selling my pearls. We have made two return trips to China, to Beijing, to buy more pearls to replenish my stock. It is important to me to be able to see and touch the pearls that I buy, to know that I am getting good quality, as well as good prices that I can pass on to my customers.Diane Grundy
